Yes, MTP is only about USB device. I can develop the support for the Samba
protocol because it seems to be the best cross-platform protocol to share
files on networks.

Is the  media library  planned for the the VLC 0.9.0 and already allocated
to phytos? If it's true I will focus my attention on other aspects of VLC.
