Hi,

A small clarification that slipped my mind--

It wasn't meant as "comments" as in "please review this code", but as in "maybe, sounds useful", "one IVTC filter is probably enough", or even "this approach makes no sense - what exactly do you think you're doing?" :P

Then again, maybe I'm misunderstanding the sense of "review"... I do realize that making any meaningful comments requires a certain level of familiarity with deinterlacing, and maybe also specifically IVTC. As a technical-minded anime fan, I tend to unconsciously assume that such things are general knowledge, but maybe those topics are too specific for that :)

Not to mention that as you said, reviewing anything requires free time, and that's away from other stuff related to the project.

Also, it wasn't meant specifically for you or Laurent, but for anyone technically minded who might happen across the post. Then again, I guess the readership of this list is rather limited :)

Anyway - as I mentioned, original idea shelved, and what I've learned here will probably be partly integrated as a 2x mode in the traditional filter.

 -J
