<DIV>Hi,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I am trying to use vlc 0.7.0 to stream .wav data over Ethernet in unicast mode and I see a few things that I do not understand.</DIV>
<DIV>1. With vlc 0.7.0 as the client I could not hear anything. On the other hand streaming of MP3 file works fine.</DIV>
<DIV>2. I use Ethereal to sniff the ethernet data. When I choose the 'raw' encapsulation method, the wave header is not sent. And after a chunk of data is sent (~1500 bytes), it seems that vlc jumps forward to another block and send it out so that much of the original data is not sent.</DIV>
<DIV>3. I use my own program to act as a client to receive the data. When I choose the MPEG 'TS' encapsulation method, I receive only one chunk of data towards the end of the file (when the vlc server play pointer is near the right hand side).</DIV>
<DIV>Does vlc support streaming of wave data and what options should I use?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks.</DIV>
