<BR><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">For some reason the configure tests on WIN32 aren't properly detecting the existance of the gai_strerror function, generating an error during the make due to duplicate functions.</FONT></P>


<P><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">The attached is a patch against gai_strerror.c, skipping the function if it's a WIN32 build.</FONT>

<P><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">I absolutely agree that fixing the configure is better, just that I don't know how and this patch appears to work OK.</FONT>

<P><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Comments?  Otherwise, if someone knows how to put this in the Patches set for extras/contrib, that would be good.</FONT>
