Hi Victor,<br><br>Thanks for the reply.<br>I was using that format for the output cause in the javadoc they say the output parameter is "the output MRL (the parameter to the "sout" variable)"... So I tried to use that (from VLC client) in many formats, but never only the address:port.... I tried that (hoping that it will work) but got the same error message :-(

Anyway it is good to know that it worked for you using that format... Just one question, what version of jVLC are you using on linux? and are you using the release from the vlc site (for linux 64bits) or did you compile vlc with java bindings by yourself?
