I totally agree with adding this feature in VLC UI because most respectable players already have it( BSPlayer at least).<br>But still, auto-starting extensions is a separate feature that might be desirable for some other types of extensions. <br>

particular case, I have a feeling that the feature should be implemented in<br>
the core or in the UI rather than in an extension??<br>
