This is actually an acceptable way for multiple threads to use the LIVE555 code, because they are using separate "UsageEnvironment" and "TaskScheduler" objects (and don't share any other LIVE555 objects).<div><br></div><div>However, this makes the code vulnerable if it calls third-party library routines that happen not to be thread safe, so I'm glad that you've discovered a few of these (which can affect any application that uses the LIVE555 code - not just VLC).</div><br><br><div apple-content-edited="true">
