<div dir="ltr">Hi, i am new to VLC and want to understand the application and work for it. As a process i started compiling the source code first and i compiled vlc-1.1.8 on debain squeeze 6.0.6. i was not able to resolve dependencies for 2.0.4 or 2.0.7 hence compiled  vlc-1.1.8. i wanted to know if i need to compile the latest version to get into development? also if i can get any pointer for the next set of things to do? <br clear="all">
