Due to antispam measures some email domains cannot be handled on the mailing list. If you use one such domain as yout git author ident, then your patches will be reassigned to the list.<br>

To avoid that, I can only think of one solution:<br>
1) subscribe another address of yours to vlc-devel,<br>
2) set the subscription above to vacation/no-delivery mode on mailman,<br>
3) set your git format-patch.from or git.sendemail.from value to that other address.<br>
