The usual advice is:<br>
1. Get the code <a href="https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc</a><br>
2. Build VLC for your platform, if you've achieved this you're already<br>
in good shape<br>
3. Look at our open issues<br>
<a href="https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc/-/issues" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc/-/issues</a> and find one you think<br>
you can help with<br>
4. Submit a Merge Request for us to review<br>

Note that we just transitioned to GitLab so a lot of the documentation<br>
may still be referring to our previous hosting and bug tracker.<br>
