> This is ostensibly a bug in the window provider you're
using, it's not respecting the conventions for the Wayland surface
type, causing valid display plugins to crash.

It does not make any sense to talk about conventions with regard
to something that intends to replace a proper window manager (X11)
while not having the concept of a "window". So do not blame the
window provider here.

The thing to blame is obviously Wayland itself for the great
frustration it has caused to the users and developers for many
years.
