Jaguar and vlc

I am running a beta of QT6 in 10.1.4 and I have not had any problems
with vlc. I bet it is because Jaguar is in some sort of debug mode.
Dev releases of OSs usually are much slower. Remember OS X DP3 or DP4
before the public beta? Those were HORRIBLY slow (15-20 sec to just
launch IE).
