[vlc] Logging packet loss under vlc

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there was a way to record the following events on a VLC
application (used as a client receiving a video stream via a wireless network):

- Packet Error Rate (ie. When VLC doesn't receive one packet it was supposed to
receive, not an MPEG frame or TS discontinuity: that, it does, but that is not
what I want).

- Artifacts on the video (picture or sound): whenever there is an error
displayed that somebody looking at the film can see or hear (glich, artifact,
freeze or whatever you call it).

If somebody knows about an option in the configuration or the code that I could
modify to allow this, that would be great ! (I have been doing that at the IP
level but it seems I am missing some packets still).

Thanks!

Florent Durrey
