[vlc] Question

Hi,

I need to know the differences between stream bitrate and input bitrate in the vlc 1.0.5 TOOLSà MEDIA INFORMATION à STATISTICS  when I receive a audio/video stream

 

I see that the two bitrate are different. 

 

I have a screenshot of an italian version (Input bitrate 100 Kb/s stream bitrate 26 Kb/s):
