<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Does vlc have any indicators that informs the users that a streaming being received via a network connection has been interrupted?  Right now, if the stream to the vlc is interrupts or stops, the display window at the client side freezes (which is understandable and correct).    </FONT></P>


<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Could vlc be modified [easy or difficult?] (with a preferences setting) to display a message on the display window that vlc is waiting for data via the network.  That way the users can know for sure what is happening (waiting for data or is there something else going on).</FONT></P>
