Hello Jean-Paul,
I downloaded the latest version 0.7.1 from the test location and installed it. On the device, that I use, I can only control the application using the serial port console. Since this version was a GTK version, I am only able to see the Main Window and not the Video window. I enabled "verbose" option and I still find a lot of "late picture skipped" and "PTS out of range: dropping buffer" messages. So I think that not much has changed in this version either.
Could I get an access to the latest 0.7.1 IPK with gtk disabled ? I will install it and get back to you on the results.

Thanks
Could you try the latest CVS? VLC support for FAAD2 has been altered for
using fixed point samples on iPAQ. Please try and report success or failure.
Kind greetings,
