       i have downloaded the entire
source code of vlan. but there are too many folders and files
associated with it. i want to know how to link all these files, compile
& run them. Please help me.<br>

i have both linux and windows in my system. first i decompressed the
files by using gunzip & tar commands in linux. i also want to know
which OS I should use now onwards for compiling & other works on
VLC.<br>
