message I sent them after a few adjustment (thanks to their helpful replies and

or not, they were encouraging. Not so long ago they were fierce advocated of
open-source software (afaik- they had developped their own format and player at
some point, until they decided to give it up and adopt Real Player), so they're

valid alternative to RealPlayer. Here are the reasons

Real Player to the end user, and better still, it is open-source (GPL

platforms also supported by Real Player (well, more actually since VideLAN also

Real Player can only contribute to your effort to distribute BBC content to as
