<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I've found a frustrating problem with VLC. I am
trying to stream a chapter of a DVD to a file. Here're my steps from the
starting user interface:</FONT></DIV>

<LI><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Disc tab</FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT size=2 face=Arial>DVD radio button</FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT size=2 face=Arial>No DVD menus check box - checked</FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Convert / Save button</FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT size=2 face=Arial>File check box - checked</FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Filename text box - (My Documents)\My
Videos\John_Farnham_Chain_Reaction.mpg</FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Profile drop-box - MPEG-2</FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Save button</FONT></LI></OL>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>At this point, I receive an Illegal Operation
notification. This is in v0.9.8a. Also, on a previous version but still with the
most recent GUI layout, the disk would be streamed successfully, but would
produce some sort of memory access error on closing VLC if I had checked the
"Dump raw input" check box between steps 7 & 8, and the file will not have
been written to hard disk. Is it possible to notify me when the next version is
out and this bug is corrected?</FONT></DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>
