I wonder if you can help me. I work at a tv station in Detroit, Michigan, in the USA. I am receiving mpeg2 video files with embedded audio that I cannot open - except with VLC. I am on an Apple MacPro, Dual Quad-Core, 10 GB RAM, Snow Leopard 10.6.2 with both Quicktime 10 & Quicktime Pro 7. I need to edit these files in Final Cut Pro 7.0.2, but nothing I have can convert these files because nothing else can open them. Is there a way that I can make VLC export a Quicktime movie? Is there a "Pro" version available?
Thank you for whatever help you can provide,
