<p class="MsoNormal">Thank you for inclusion of some of my suggestions in the
latest version of VLC Media Player.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I felt very affected when I saw that some of my suggestions
were applied in this software.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">But I want to insist a) to add more different skins (that
are available in your website) and </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">to select them as the interface language selection but with
previewing them before saving</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">the selection, b) to add a button in the interface menu,
that automatically set the volume 100%, c) to enable automatic updating and
installing the updates, like SKYPE or </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">MOZILLA FIREFOX updates. This way to be enabled for all the
operating systems, as</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">soon as possible, d) to enable setting VLC Media Player as
the default media player of</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">PC with only a click.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For continuing to give recommendations to you, I want to
send to you other problems</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">and recommendations for you to fix or to add. I hope that
you will try to find solutions for my problem reporting and suggestions.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I have a Windows XP Service pack 3, and I want to improve
more this media player for</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Windows OS.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">1) Youtube is one of the most visited websites in the world.
Some of the users want only</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>to see the videos
of Youtube. But some others want to download them in their PC.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>For this reason I
think that it will be better to start developing a function inside</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>VLC Media Player,
for downloading videos from Youtube. For this reason, create a </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>new menu specified
for the download, between menus MEDIA and PLAYBACK </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>named for example
“Download”. The way of doing this is by copying the URL of </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>Youtube video and
pasting it in the command of “Download” menu named</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span><span style=""> </span>This will made more popular VLC Media Player,
and<span style=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>isn’t necessary to
install specific softwares like Orbit downloader or Youtube </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>downloader.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">2) Also allow to download from Youtube to mp3 format files
with the best quality.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>In the menu “Download”
that I explained in the last paragraph, add a command for this <span style=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>function, named for
example: “Download as mp3 file”</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">3) Sometimes is required to rip the audio from the video
files. So I am saying that from a</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>video file to make
a new file that contains only the audio of this video without </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>destroying or
deleting the video from PC. Actually this function is not available in</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>VLC Media Player. If
it is possible for you to add this function, please do it as soon as</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>posibile.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">4) If wanted to record an audio or video conversation from a
VOiP or an messenger</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>service like
popular softwares such as Skype, Windows Live, Yahoo messenger with</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>the authorization
of these services (it means a legal record). This function to be enabled</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">5) Add a function that enable voice recording from an
installed device such as a</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>Microphone, with
only high quality sound, and then saving this file as a mp3 file in the </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>PC</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">6) Add also a function that records videos from web camera
(or a camera connected with</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>the PC via USB Port
or via Bluetooth) of course with audio. For this 2 last functions</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>create a menu named
for example “Record” and with commands “record an audio”</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>and “record a video
from webcam (or similar connected device)”</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For each of this 6 new functions to be enabled saving of the
new files (video or mp3 audio downloaded from Youtube, audio ripped,
conversation recorded from a VOiP and voice or video recording) in a folder
selected before doing this functions (in the Preferences menu), or after, like
in MS WORD, EXCEL saving documents etc.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">7) If the photos and images are considered as media files,
enable viewing them with </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>VLC Media Player
for the most popular types like JPEG etc. For viewing them there</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>are some manners
like in slideshows (for all the photos of a selected folder), or like in</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>touchscreen mobile
phones (when the photos slide by finger) or by mouse for non<span style=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>touchscreen
displays. This second option will be a fantastic choice for all of the
users<span style=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>which have a touchscreen
display, or an ipad.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">8) When the video is paused to be enabled zooming in it like
in Windows Picture and Fax</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>Writer. This
function is necessary when the user during playing the video, see anything</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>that wants to see
in a “detailed” mode.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">9) When the user wants to play only the audio of a video
file, enable playing this video</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>file as an audio
file (without picture of video). This function to be enabled with a </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>command in the PLYBACK
menu named for example “Play this video as audio”.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">10) Considering that Blu Ray DVD players and Blu Ray DVDs
are becoming defused </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>increasingly in the
laptops it is necessary to continue developing the read of Blue ray <span style=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>with their true
quality. Also improve playing HD files with their true quality.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>Because of arriving
of 3D viewing, please prepare for developing a technology that </p>

movies or videos in the best quality</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">11) Allow displaying Advanced Controls such as “take a
snapshot”, “record”, “frame by</p>

point A to point B continuously” in the default interface view of</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>VLC Media Player.
Some users don’t know that these functions exist.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">12) When I tried to open an Youtube video with VLC Media
Player, by copying the </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>video URL and then
pasting it, by using the menu Media and the commands “open </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>network stream”
and “open location from clipboard”, VLC Media Player doesn’t </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>play the file. I
don’t know if the problem was my location or anything else, but I </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>suggest you to
test more this function. It is not useful and must be improved more.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">13) Increase in maximum the quality of the photos captured
from a video by “take a</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>snapshot”
function. Actually these photos are with a low quality.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Below are some other small suggestions for you to apply.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">13) Resize the help dialog box (HELP…..HELP) F1, in a way
that isn’t necessary</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span><span style=""> </span>to use the scroll bar</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">14) In the menu Help….About, set your official webpage and
email address</p>

) as hyperlinks: clicking on them opens</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">15) When you release a new version of VLC Media Player, name
it in a progressive way.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style=""> </span>It means that from
the version 1.0.5 to release the version 1.0.6 and then 1.0.7 etc.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">These recommendations to be applied for all the versions of the
different operating systems, as soon as possible.</p>
