Hi,

First - love VLC, great piece of work, but I have a question
about a couple of things

1. Gapless playing. Do you intend to implement it, and why is it
so hard for media players to manage it?
It's a real pisser for listening to bands like the Grateful
Dead, who would play a number of songs
live with no break between tracks, i.e. N minutes of
continuous music, with track markers, but no
gap between the tracks.

2. Surround sound. I've got a 5.1 speaker system, and if I play
any album with 5.1, I have to re-enable
Audio/Device/5.1 for each track. Even if I select all the
tracks, and set it to 5.1, only the current track is
affected, and you have to set it again, which is extremely
annoying, as you might imagine.

Have I missed something, or is this as is, and if so, please
please fix it!

Cheers
