nicely across 4 cores in windows xp. I am using the latest nightly of

<p class=MsoNormal>compiling x264 without pthread and compiling into ffmpeg
seems to use only one core. While the rest are close to idle….

<p class=MsoNormal>Compiling pthread into ffmpeg still using the non pthread
x264 compile, seems that it will use 2 cores. While the other two remain unused
more or less.. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>Compiling x264 with pthread as a dll that is shared, and
ffmpeg without pthread seems to be better, it seems to use three cores, however
one is pegged pretty high while two others are about half used. And the last
core is pretyy much not used…<o:p></o:p></p>

ffmpeg using pthreads however oddly enough the encoder doesn’t even function….
