I'm a newb at this.<div>Yes the bug is repeatable.</div><div><br></div><div>Basically give x264 a file ~20-30 times larger than your ram and then it runs out of memory.</div><div>Tried this by taking "a day day" from youtube and transcoding it to raw (159 GB) then get an out of memory error.</div>
<div><br></div><div>It transcode really slowly as its building up ram (like 2-5% cup usage) until it gets to be 1 or 2 gb of ram then it spikes to 70% cpu usage and then it runs out of memory.</div><div><br></div><div>What did I do wrong?</div>

Then you should try x264cli and see if your bug shows up there too.<br>
