J-B, thanks for the link. It means I'm not really aware of the
difference between VLC-Android release and testing builds (there are
also nightly builds), i.e. what is considered as release build? Is the
versioning scheme documented somewhere? And was there a reason to not
have 1.8.x (testing?) builds during 3 months (27.11.2015 .. 02.03.2016)?
