[dvblast-devel] SAP/SDP announcements

Hi,

this is an update on Selfnet's effort to add support for announcing 
streams using SAP/SDP. We fixed up IPv6 and made the multicast groups 
configurable via command-line options. Currently, VLC is our main target 
client but we haven't done anything on that end yet. Since VLC doesn't 
show the session description in the stream list, we added the name of 
the current show (from EPG) in brackets behind the channel name. What's 
left to do is to strip DVB-specific formatting characters from the EIT 
strings but nobody cared enough to do it yet. It still gives me mixed 
feelings seeing how it does lots of stuff over and over again, but hey, 
it works and you should be able to update your config on-the-fly. I 
published our current status at https://github.com/Tilka/dvblast and I'd 
be happy if you could test it and give some comments/suggestions.
