VLC 0.9.0 has DVB support and can stream the captured MPEG2-TS.
Unfortunately, that version has a problem with transcoding.
Some folks have resorted to captureing with VLC 0.9.0 then stream locally to
VLC 0.8.6 for transcoding and further streaming. Ugly but it appears to
work.

Subject: [libdvbpsi-devel] DVB support for windows

Hello Experts,

I am trying to use VLC media player 0.8.6c on windows to capture the Digital
live Broadcast video (MPEG2-TS) from Pinnacle PCTV DVB Receiver. But it
looks like this version of VLC does not support the same.

Can anyone provide me the right version of VLC (or suitable plug in if any)
which can capture DVB signal for further media streaming?

Also along with the above support, does the VLC also support MPEG2-TS to WMV
trancode facility for streaming??

OR

If the above feature is not present in VLC, Could you kindly suggest some
alternative solution to capture the DVB (MPEG2-TS) live broadcast and
transcode the same into some other format for streaming?

Thanks & Best Regards,
Sudeendra
