The VideoLAN team is happy to announce version 1.2.5 of libdvdcss,
a cross-platform DVD descrambling library, and version 1.0.0 of
libdvdplay, a DVD navigation library.

libdvdcss 1.2.5 includes the following changes:

    - key cache support
    - improved robustness in case of read errors
    - now builds under Cygwin
    - now builds under Microsoft Visual C++

libdvdplay 1.0.0 includes no changes because this is its first
 release, but the features are:

    - basic read and seek for DVD media
    - exports the DVD information (audio, subtitles, chapters, ...)
    - exports the DVD virtual machine to the client application
    - works on top of libdvdread
    - based on a lot of Ogle code

The libdvdcss and libdvdplay home pages are:

      http://developers.videolan.org/libdvdcss/
      http://developers.videolan.org/libdvdplay/

You can download the libraries here:

      http://www.videolan.org/pub/libdvdcss/1.2.5/
      http://www.videolan.org/pub/libdvdplay/1.0.0/

Debian x86 packages as well as RPM x86 packages are available. Windows
and Mac OS X users do not really need them because libdvdcss and libdvdplay
are included in the VLC packages.

   For the VideoLAN team,
