May I suggest we move the spec on a repository, if possible git. And
send patches for comment on this mailing for discussions.

I am not sure who is sort of maintaining the spec. So maybe we should
go with some code a reviewing process here first.

Would that make things easier?

I think XMMS2 and VLC using git, so that should not be a problem.
