[multicat-devel] Simple streaming

I am looking for a simple way to do streaming with a light app like Multicat.  Don't really need a big app like VLC.  I want to incorporate it into an existing system so the CPU overhead for streaming needs to be low.  

I have used VLC for playing and streaming but not Multicat.  Is anyone using Multicat now for streaming files?  I appreciate any feedback.
