One thing worth noting was that on an older debian boxen (2.2r7
methinks) I did have to munge the sockaddr_in6 entry in the configure
script to prevent it from incorrectly identifying IPV6 as being
available.....v minor I know, but had me stumped for a little.
Also, v4l is working nicely for me, up to a limit.... I was using a
v0.5.0 vls.cfg script, which had some broken "master" group entries,
and was 75% of the time segv'ing vls totally, or just one of the
threads, or may have worked if -vv was selected ( not -v,
or -vvv!!).... replaced the master group entry with the one included
in the cvs vls.cfg and it worked....
I still can't capture from a webcam at 640x480, however suspect this
is something to do with the webcam, not vls.... lastly, using another
machine with a bt878 card (??) and a std bw ccd camera, and can't get
any working output from the latest vls cvs... doesn't crash, but
doesn't work! I'm going to put a usb webcam onto it and try again.....
Tristan, thanks for the "AudioMute" option - works brilliantly!! Took
me a while, tho, to figure out how to munge the frame rate by messing
around the bitrate.... works nicely once I worked it through......
Regards,
Richard
