I am now able to get it to display some v4l things but my vlc still doesn't
display any video. The network is getting UPD packets of about 1300 bytes
of data a piece. The -vvv output from vlc doesn't seem to provide much
information about what might be going wrong.

I also tried saving it to the localfile stream.ps. I cannot vlc does a
bunch of stuff and never displays anything but dubug messages.

How can I diagnos this further? This is my only chance to get this working
to show off VideoLan so we can use it for this project instead of the other
solutions.

Thanks,
Michael

Hello,
You can find here my vls.cfg file for streaming v4l stream i am also using
bttv card. But this file doesn't work with current cvs version of vls
it work well for a version got with the folling cvs command.

'cvs -d:pserver:anonymous at cvs.videolan.org:/cvs/videolan co -D "June 1 2003"

vls'

the steam is currently save to file but changing the entry

command3 = "start video localfile tuner"

by
command3 = "start video multicast tuner"

while send the stream using multicast address

regards

Philippe.
