tough luck ;) this way, you had no collisions, no retransmissions/packet
loss, and used a DVD which didn't utilize much bandwidth .. chances are
you could do it this way with about 60-70% of all consumer DVDs out
there, but - like you imply yourself - usability is quite limited, and
I'd not see this as stable or recommendable .. using 802.11a, which
offers 54MBit/s and is backward compatible to 802.11b, you should have
far more luck.

P.S: hope you at least multicasted it, so the other people not being
able to use the wireless network anymore could at least watch DVD, too
;)
