I disagreed, VLS works fine with elecard moonlight udp player.
Check your set up.

By the way, are there any work around VLS in fast forward/rewind of a stream?.
I have seen it mentioned in the manual via telnet command option but when I tried and it was not there.
I traced the source and also found it was not there either.
I planned to add this feature but dont know where to start.
Option include
1. speed up the stream
2. advance file pointer when reading from input source.
3. speed up the stream and filter i frame only.
4. etc....

Any idea, some one pls?
Thanks.
Vince.

Subject: [streaming] players...

Hello,
does anyone knows if it's possible to play video served by VLS with other players than VLC?
In particular I'm interested in MS Windows Media Player, just to avoid the need for users to install other software.
I have already tried with elecard moonlight udp player but with no success.
Any idea or does anybody knows about an UDP plugin for WMP working with VLS?

thank you,
Roberto Politi
