Hi,
I have got a AverMedia AverTV WDM card installad on a RedHat 9.0.
Is it possible to do video streaming vith this card? Or do I have to buy a digital tv receiver card?
Thanks.

If your talking about the basic WinTV, it is going to work, except this
card doesn't have a hardware encoding chip. That mean you'll have to
make soft encoding, which will require at least a PIV 1.6 GHz to work.
VideoLAN has also support for cards with an integrated encoding chip.
The Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-250 and Visiontech Kfir hve been tested and are
working well (in fact, the PVR 250 is working quite better).
