I meant reading  directly from the dvb device with VLC. Use the 
satellite plugin!. BTW it currently works with standard 2.4.x kernels 
only, because of the Video4Linux interface.

VLS (server) uses the video4Linux 2 interface the new one!

Seems that a lot of packets or frames are missing or just simply arrive 
to late. This can be verified by looking in View|Messages menu or when 
launched from the commandline with vlc -vvv

VLS is better in sending the stream over a network in time. dvbstream 
apparently not.
