Yes, VideoLAN is one solution above others.

We also support the Nexus-s. We made some tests with the Nexus-s and
the Common Interface Module, but we were unable to get the unencrypted
digital stream, apparently because the decryption is made inside the
MPEG-2 decoding chip ! So you can save the digital stream on a disk, but
it will be encrypted. We haven't found a solution to decrypt an
encrypted digital stream without decoding and re-encoding.
