As I would like to demonstrate Videolan's streaming solution in class
with my laptop, I'd like to setup everything with Windoz if possible. I
understand VLS probably works better under Linux and given the time I
have, installing Linux on my laptop may not be an option...

Yes, I've run VLC under windows (both pre-compiled and the one I have
compiled myself). It works great. Do you know of any VLS the public can
connect to for testing?

Did you try with VLS under Linux ? Did you try with VLC's stream output
under Windows ?
