[streaming] Re: Live Stream, Firewire

I am not sure because i ask some questions like this a few time ago and 
did not get an answer. So tried many settings and my conclusion is that 
it is not possible yet with stable vls (did not know about cvs vlc). I 
think the problem is that Firewire input is MJPEG-Video and not 
compatible with MPEG2-TS or PS. But vlc can stream it with it's 
network-output option. But this is not really realtime, with my system 
the latency was about 1/4 to 1/2 of a second. And that was to much for 
me, so i stoped trying anything more! ;-(

So if you get better video streams with less latency please let me know 
it! ;-)
