Hi everybody,
I have installed VLS 0.5.0 on a PC with Debian "woody" and VLC 0.5.3 on the
same machine and on a PC with winXP. The two computers are connected by two
ethernet interfaces: one is a common ethernet card and the other (the one I
am using to stream) is a gigabit-ethernet.
I try to stream MPEG1 videos with VLS to the VLC on the winXP machine. The
problem is that after a few time (less than 1 minute) playing well, the
video and the audio in the VLC stop, the image becomes paralyzed. The image
becomes paralyzed always at the same point of the video.
When this happens I see that there´s no traffic arriving to any of the
ethernet cards of the winXP PC. After that sometimes a few packets arrive to
winXP PC and when this happens the video jumps into another image and
instead of the audio I hear whistles.
The message I get from the VLC when the video stops for the first time is:
clock gap, unexpected stream discontinuity
no sync - skipping
MPEG1NonIntra coeff is out of bounds
MPEG1NonIntra coeff is out of bounds
late picture skipped (10248778)
When the VLC receives a few packets and I heard whistles the messages that I
get are like this:
buffer is 258281 late, triggering upsampling
no sync - skipping
no sync - skipping
timing screwed, stopping resampling
buffer is 421219 late, triggering upsampling
no sync - skipping
no sync - skipping
vpar synchro warning: pts != current_date (-462684)
clock gap, unexpected stream discontinuity
vpar synchro warning: pts != current_date (64912)
backward_pts != dts (548254)
backward_pts != current_pts (554820)
clock gap, unexpected stream discontinuity
no sync - skipping
resampling stopped after 680654 usec
no sync - skipping
vpar synchro warning: pts != current_date (-489419)
vpar synchro warning: pts != current_date (-153400)
backward_pts != dts (88054)
backward_pts != current_pts (94576)
clock gap, unexpected stream discontinuity
buffer is 130186 in advance, triggering downsampling
no sync - skipping
The message I get from the VLS is:
Synchronised with PS stream
Synchronised with PS stream
unknown packet (0) encoutered
Synchronised with PS stream
unknown packet (0) encoutered
Synchronised with PS stream
...
The VLS displays this message continuisly when the video is playing well,
stops when the video and the audio stop and displays it again everytime it
sends traffic to the VLC in the winXP.
I´ve used the same commands like those that are in Chapter 4 of the
"videolan-howto".
Thanks,
Victor.
