[streaming] documentation more specific

where can anyone find a detailed documentation about
the coidecs and usage other the one in videolan.org
site cause I need to try everything to settle on the
format which suits the interest and capabilities of
the local network i have......


like how to stream an asf file and which players would
be able to play it in an acceptable quality.....

how to set up for a browser streaming ........
