Hi all,
I'm looking for how to install the videolan-plugin for mozilla under
Win32 and don't find any documentation. Could someone tell me where I
can find it ?
My goal is to start a stream from a web page that links to a media file
(AVI or MP3). I found VLCSTARTER, but it seems it can start vlc only
with a UDP stream (that is : it launches vlc with this argument :
udp:@1234), but it doesn't start vlc with the URL of the media file wich
is delivered by Apache.
I've added the MIME type to the Apache configuration file.
Even if I link avi and mp3 files to vlc, it is downloaded before it's
read. I want VLC starts the read immediately. Is there another solution
than to start a VLC on the server side (but my server has no X11
installed) wich could have a very high CPU price if the number of
clients grow ?
So I think the only solution is to install the mozilla plug-in, but I
can't find any documentation.
Thanks
Valéry
