Actually this is one of the things that should be done automatically by the 
VLC auto-installer. Unfortunately we've asked several time for some help on 
the auto-installer script and nobody has yet stepped up to work on this. So 
until this is done, the win32 mozilla plugin will remain an "expert" and 
"experimental" feature only.

If you copy vlcintf.xpt in your components directory then you should only 
have to run "regxpcom" without any arguments. Have a look at your xpti.dat 
file afterwards, the component should be registered in there.
