You need a kernel driver that can work with the webcam. Last time I
tried the Logitech webcam I couldn't get it to work with RH9.0.
A fallback scenario would be to use a microphone and plug it in the
Sound card and use that as an audio device.

If I interpret the messages from VLC above correclty then it looks like
you are getting sound on your laptop, but could you send me the complete
log directly?
It sounds like the system has no capacity left to send the sound in time
to the audio output, hence "audio to slow". Lowering the video size
could help here, try a video size setting of, E.g: qsif (160x120)
Another application you could use in testing is Gnome-Meeting. If
gnome-meeting can show video and use the webcam's microphone, then you
know the setup you have is correct.
I hope you get a little further with these suggestions, perhaps other
people on the list have other sightfull knowledge.
