Hi,

I read in the archives that a few months ago some people had trouble with
audio transmission from an v4l (bttv848) device. Some people mentioned that
they were using a i810 audio card.

I have recently compiled an uptodate version of vls from CVS on two different
systems. One of them is a Debian/woody (mostly part of stable, CPU 700Mhz
Athlon) with a soundblaster compatible soundcard. Using vls on this machine,
audio transmission works well.

On a different system I am using Debian/sid with a onboard i810 audio card.
The CPU is a PIII-700. When transmitting audio from this system the audio
outout of vlc is very, very slow (its not like mickey mouse -- just the
opposite).

Did anybody manage to grab audio from v4l with a i810 device?

Cheers,

   Klaus
