Dear Marc 

Unfortunately a DV stream does not supported. And as I know, VLC does
not support the DV Format. If you want to test, the stream format from
camera to IEEE1394 adapter should be a MPEG2(MPEG2-TS). Finally I am not
sure a new module works on Mac OS-X.
