 Could you upload a few MB of the stream vlc cannot play to our ftp
(ftp://ftp.videolan.org/incoming/)
(You can use vlc udp/dump://... --demuxdump-file mydump.ts
 to dump the raw data)

Btw, what do you mean by:

 No video, no audio, garbage, segfaults ... ?
