Did not help.

Its the onboard soundcard on a Elitegroup K7S5a. However, since then I
have installed a standard sound-blaster clone soundcard, and disabled
the onboard sound. I then re-installed ubuntu to be sure that I have a
clean system.

Same thing though, if I put /dev/dsp as audio device into the v4linux
tab it does not get data from there. It just hangs with the syncing
errors you can see in the log.

Can anyone please confirm that it is possible to watch TV via
video4linux with /dev/dsp if the line-in of the soundcard is the audio
device ?

Thanks,
Karl
