cisco iptv doesnt stream the way that vlc does, but atleast it proves multicast traffic is being routed (providing you are multicasting)

so you setup is similar to this:

vlc streamer --- switch --- router1 --- router 2 --- router 4 --- client pc

1. Now have you confirmed that clients connected to the first switch can view video?
2. Have you checked your routers to ensure the multicast address you are using is one being passed by all routers?
3. Have you checked each hope to see if you can view video?
4. Have you checked your routers to see if your passing data?

Your problem sounds like a networking issue, not a problem with vlc

Yes I have streamed using Cisco IP/TV --
You can see the activity of the etherned cards on these routers when
streaming is carried
-with video lan , only the etherned card connected to Video Lan box is
active , other is not
