and i just tested it with my 6630:
VLC live-streams reflected though darwin ss work! (at least for t-mobile 
gprs network)
the viewing experience was far from being good, the video (12kbit/s, no 
audio) was as bit messed up and
much worse than on a desktop client.
don't know if this is because of the vlc encoded content or not. this 
would require some more testing...
